STAFF at a busy fast food outlet were threatened by armed raiders on Sunday night.
Two masked men forced their way into the KFC at Junction 27 retail park at Birstall around 11.15pm. One was armed with a knife and the other had what is thought to be a handgun.

After threatening staff the raiders got away with takings from the till.

No-one was hurt.

A police spokesman said: "At the time there could have been lots of people leaving the nearby cinema and restaurants and they may have seen something suspicious."

A spokesman for KFC said: "We were very concerned to hear of this incident as we take the safety of our staff and customers very seriously.

"We are helping police with their investigations and are unable to comment further at this time."

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Hutchinson at Dewsbury CID on 01924 431095 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
